Rajeswari Sainath the dynamic and versatile dancer has carved a niche
for herself in the field of Indian Classical dances. She has emerged as
a brilliant dancer with an "imaginative splendor that goes beyond mere
technique". A superb stage presence, refined artistic sensibilities and
a passionate exponent of tradition, has made Rajeswari a true artiste
of the Pandanallur tradition of Bharatha natyam.

Honed to perfection as a Bharatha Natyam dancer in the classical
Pandanallur style, Rajeswari Sainath has been performing for more
than three decades. She received her training from Kalaimamani Smt.
Indira Rajan of Chennai and further groomed in the nuances of Layam
by Mridangam Maestro Guru Kaaraikudi R. Mani. Her artistry has
scaled lofty heights, as a dancer, choreographer and teacher. She has
choreographed more than 15 dance ballets.

Rajeswari has received many awards, including citation and award as
the Most Talented Dancer of the year (1978-79), by the Andhra
Pradesh Sangeeth Nrithya And Nataka Academy. She is now the
Director of Sruthi Laya Kendra Natarajaalaya, founded by Guru
Kaaraikudi R. Mani. This institution has its centers in Chennai, Mysore,
Australia, England and Germany.
